Tasks

All pages of the GameStrafe network use two components. One is the forum, which contains discussions, news and comments to those. The second is the "static" content, which includes guides, images and the front page displaying the news. All these static pages can be edited by every user who creates a login in our forums. Using the same credentials you can login, upload images, create new pages and edit (most) existing ones. Vandalism is of course possible because of that, but then if you see vandalism, you can simply revert it yourself by using the history page on every content site.

Since there is so much to do, we can't always get things done ourselves. If you wish to contribute, here is a list of things you can do. Please read instructions carefully.

If you wish to take on a task, add your nickname in the forum behind a task with --~~~~ and save the page again. This is the same as when you press the second last button in the editor tool bar, and adds your nickname and time, so others can see who took what and when.

General Tasks

You can do this pretty much any time, so don't "take" these tasks.

• Check for teh spelingg mistkaes on hte pgaes.
• Rewrite texts for use better grammar in English language.
• See if some vital information is missing.
• If there is a problem constantly asked in a support forum, consider writing a guide on the page and link it from the forums.

Battlefield 2

Tasks concerning our Battlefield 2 Page.

• Enhance the unlocks page, with a similar interface like the BF2142 page has, using the Icon extension.
• Check if each weapon has a basic page.
• Check if each map has a basic page.
• Check if each vehicle has a basic page.
• Add guides for maps.

Battlefield 2142

Tasks concerning our Battlefield 2142 Page.

• Move images. Open each image, then change it's name by "moving" the page to something that includes BF2142 at the beginning. Also make sure you check that every page that uses that image (click what links here to get a list) is edited and has the new name of the image.
• Add guides for all maps. Each map should have guides for different sizes of the maps, images from control points and so on. Add Screenshots to each map.
• Edit the unlock page. Add the nothern-strike unlocks in there, and change all the images over to use the Icon extension as well as give each image a title below it.
